Born In Los Angeles to Haitian immigrants, Bapari found their way into music as a DJ in downtown LA’s underground scene in the mid-2010’s. They quickly became a musical force known for their heady tracks, disruptive pop edits, and hard-hitting DJ sets. More recently, Bapari’s production can be heard on FKA twigs albums Afterglow and Grammy Award-winning Eusexua, as well as on Kelsey Lu’s long-awaited So Help Me God. Their production style pushes experimentation within alternative electronic music to the edge. Bapari’s upcoming 6-track EP entitled Blurry Days is the artist’s most reflective work to date. The project emerged from a period of self-doubt, inner-conflict and emotional fog where their journey towards self-acceptance began. The project expands upon the hybrid sound established by their previous release Evermore (Halcyon Veil, 2025) that marked a bold new chapter in the musician’s sonic evolution. Bapari stepped into the role of vocalist, weaving their singing into live instrumentation with raw, layered vulnerability. The project draws inspiration from 90’s shoegaze, trip hop, and RnB. Blurry Days takes this exploration even further, invigorated by the producers underground electronic and experimental background.
In addition to hosting the monthly show Puffy on NTS Radio since 2019, Bapari has been featured in publications like Mixmag, High Sobriety, Vice, Interview, Flaunt, Paper, DJ Mag, Crack and Resident Advisor - which named their 2021 track “Daybreak” a best-of-the-year. Since debuting their live show at La Station in Paris at the end of 2025, Bapari’s tour highlights include recent debuts in Scandinavia and the BeNeLux region, playing live to a sold out Volksbühne Berlin alongside Space Afrika, opening live for Eartheater in Los Angeles, DJing the Boy Harsher release in New York, joining LSDXOXO for Floorgasm in Austin Texas, as well as headlining underground events and festivals across Europe, Australia and Mexico.
